 Me-Learning Courses for Carers

Wigan Council now have a wide variety of free training courses available that carers can access. While many are now delivered via an e-learning model there are some face to face courses available such as Medication, Moving and Handling of People and Infection control.

This is a great way to continue your learning around your caring role and build on your own personal development for any interests you have or to help you in getting back to work. You can also do as many as you want. Click here to see the list of possible me- learning courses.

Unsure about how to use an e- learning package, that’s not a problem, the Carers Centre can support you step by step.

If you don’t see a course that is of interests to you here but have seen a short course elsewhere, then why not apply for a Wigan Council Carers Training Grant?

Coming soon- Level 2 Health and Social Care Online Training

For more information on how to access the me-learning courses, express an interest in the Level 2 courses or the carers training grant, please contact Gail Byrne at the Carers Centre on 01942 705959.
